In celebration of Arbor week, Hirsch’s Meadowdale changed things up a bit and instead of planting an indigenous tree, they planted flowers that can have beneficial value to many.
Hirsch’s decided on Lavender and Dahlia plants.
Lavender oil has antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties that can be used to heal minor burns and bug bites and is bee friendly.
Dahlia flowers are consumable, can be used to treat epilepsy and infected grazes, rashes and insect bites.
At Hirsch’s we love supporting the environment.
