East Coast Radio House & Garden Show

The saying goes that families that play together stay together, however, it’s also true that families that cook together also stay together, and there was ample proof of this at the East Coast Radio House and Garden Show recently when the Hirsch family, Allan, Margaret and their children, Richard and Luci got together in the Discover Durban Cuisine kitchen to cook up a mini-storm for visitors to the Show!

The Hirsch’s chose dishes that were predominantly from their own recipe books and the result was a mouth-watering feast that included Luci’s delicious Hummus starter, Richard’s Prawns-to-be-wild dish, Allan’s Chicken Traybake, and Margaret and Luci’s delectable desserts that included two glorious Pavlovas and fudge. Needless to say, the audience vote was for the puddings, although it was agreed that all dishes went down like a house on fire!!

Margaret will also be cooking this Friday between 3 and 4 with the anchor host in the Discover Durban Cuisine Kitchen, the always entertaining, Gourmet Bushie Chef, Sherwyn Weaich.
