Rooibos Baby Brekkie – Defy
Defy’s Rooibos Baby Brekkie recipe is filled with plenty of vitamins, natural fibres and the multiple health benefits of South Africa’s unique Rooibos tea.
Why rooibos tea?
Rooibos is naturally sweet, caffeine-free, calorie-free, and rich in antioxidants. It is known to soothe colic and digestive discomfort, relieve teething gums and promote better sleep. Filled with zinc, iron and calcium, rooibos is perfectly safe for your baby to drink. However it is important to remember that you should only feed your baby natural rooibos tea, this means no honey, sugar or milk.
Why you should prepare your own baby food.
Preparing your own baby food is a fast, inexpensive, and a more nutritious option to purchasing foods that have been sitting on a grocery store shelf. By making your own meals according to your weaning baby’s stage, you will be making a conscious effort to raising a healthy, adventurous eater. The jars of baby food you purchase from stores are all of the same or similar textures. They can be quite bland and offer a lack of variety. It’s important to introduce your weaning baby to a wide variety of foods and different textures, this means avoiding developing fussy eating habits later on in life. With the help of Defy’s life tested, family-approved appliances, we can help you retain the most important nutritional value your baby needs.
