Delicious Caprese Panini
This Delicious Caprese Panini is the perfect sandwich for an elevated afternoon lunch, try it today using a Panini press to toast it. Nothing beats the refreshing flavors of tomato, basil, and mozzarella on a hot summer day. This recipe uses fresh bazil which is rich in Iron, Vitamin A, and vitamin K and is known to have many health benefits such as treatments for cuts and grazes. This means it not only tastes great but it has fantastic healing properties. This meal can easily be turned into a low carb option by mixing the ingredients into a salad.
Ingredients
- Panini bread
- Slices of fresh mozzarella
- Slices of Juicy red tomatoes
- Fresh Basil leaves
- Bazil Pesto
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon balsamic vinegar
- Salt & Pepper, to taste
Method
Lightly brush the Panini bread with olive oil and layer the freshly sliced tomato, mozzarella, and basil leaves onto the Panini bread. Drizzle a light layer of the Balsamic vinegar, bazil Pesto, and seasoning and place your Panini into the Panini press and then allow it to toast. You know your panini is done when the cheese has melted and the bread has a golden brown hue. This should take approximately five minutes for the perfectly toasted panini.
Then serve it with your favourite cooler and enjoy!
