Ingcebo Educare in Isipingo received much-needed donations.
Ingcebo Educare in Isipingo received much-needed donations recently. When a team from Hirsch’s home stores surprised the informal orphanage. The orphanage received a large supply of kids clothing and food items sponsored by various team members and Hirsch’s Homestore.
About Ingcebo Educare centre.
The centre has become a place of hope and refuge for orphans in the area. Sneh works tirelessly to create a better life for the kids in her care.
Ingcebo Educare has been a project of Hirsch’s for some time now after Sneh reached out to Margaret Hirsch back in 2018. She was desperately in need of appliances for the centre. Margaret jumped on board and kitted the centre out with fridges, freezers, mattresses, other kitchen essentials and school supplies. Margaret also sends the Centre groceries on a monthly basis
The centre recently had to relocate due to unforeseen circumstances and the Durban community as a whole helped out with getting them back on track. Items donated included school equipment such as chairs, tables and stationery and clothing. The Robin Hood Foundation, chaired by Cindy Norcott, also came on board with a generous biscuit donation.
How to get involved and donate
Sneh is appealing to anyone in the community for help. If you would like to donate any items from food to furniture, new and second-hand items please email [email protected] or [email protected] to arrange collection or drop them off at a Hirsch’s branch near you.
