If there was ever a time to pull out that roll of puff pastry that has been at the bottom of your freezer it’s now. Making homemade pies are a great way to get rid of a leftover festive lunch roast. An average festive lunch includes roast meat, vegetables, and potatoes. Slice up the meat and vegetables then add these ingredients to a puff pastry pie casing. Then add some delicious gravy and enjoy a delicious homemade pie. Bake them at 180’C for 12-15minutes or until golden brown.

Festive DIY Tacos

DIY tacos are a great way to use up any left over salads and sauces as well as the roasted meat. Shred the left over roast meat, using two forks or a shredder, and mix it into a Smokey sauce to create a homemade pulled BBQ. Place the pulled BBQ and left over salads into some taco shells and you have a delicious and different meal idea.

Fun cake pops

A fun way to use up the Christmas cake, which hardly anyone touched, is some festive brandy cake pops. In a mixing bowl break up the cake into a crumb add some extra brandy and icing and mix until a soft dough forms. Be careful not to add to much icing. Form this dough into balls and place them on a stick. Dip the dough into melted chocolate of choice and sprinkle with joy. Place them in the fridge and then enjoy.
