What began as a small gathering in a living room has grown into one of Cape Town’s most inspiring business communities, and Hirsch’s Homestores is proud to celebrate 10 years of the Business Women Network Cape Town alongside founder Marissa Brendal, whose vision of connecting, supporting and uplifting women in business has created a thriving platform for collaboration and growth.

As a long-standing partner and host venue, Hirsch’s has welcomed the network into its spaces as part of its commitment to creating meaningful experiences beyond retail. Most recently, members gathered at the newly launched Hisense Premium Brand Store at Canal Walk Shopping Centre, the first store of its kind in South Africa, powered by Hirsch’s.
“There’s something powerful about women who show up not just for themselves, but for each other,” says Brendal. “Over the past decade, we’ve seen conversations turn into opportunities and connections become catalysts for growth.”

Margaret Hirsch added: “When women connect meaningfully, they don’t just grow individually, they grow businesses, communities and confidence. That’s where real impact begins.”
At its heart, the Business Women Network remains rooted in one simple belief: real growth happens when women come together to share ideas, encouragement and momentum.
