There was a wonderful atmosphere of connection, conversation, and community spirit at the latest North Coast Coffee Club gathering hosted at Hirsch’s Ballito. More than 70 people attended the event, making it another successful networking morning on the North Coast.
From the moment guests arrived, the Hirsch showroom felt warm and welcoming. The rich aroma of freshly brewed coffee filled the space as attendees enjoyed complimentary beverages made using premium Nespresso, Philips, and DeLonghi coffee machines displayed in-store.
While the coffee drew people in, the real highlight was the sense of community and meaningful connection shared throughout the morning.
Supporting Local Businesses and Entrepreneurs
The North Coast Coffee Club has become far more than just a networking event. It now serves as a platform where entrepreneurs, professionals, creatives, and community members can connect, collaborate, and support one another.
Having started as a small family business themselves 46 years ago, the Hirsch family remains passionate about supporting local businesses and creating opportunities for networking at all Hirsch’s branches.
Throughout the morning, local businesses showcased their products and services at display tables around the venue. These displays gave entrepreneurs valuable exposure while encouraging collaboration within the community.
Lindy Elmes Inspires Guests with Wildlife Rescue Stories
One of the most memorable moments of the morning came from guest speaker Lindy Elmes. Her heartfelt presentation deeply moved everyone in attendance.
Lindy shared stories from her wildlife rescue work along the North Coast. She explained how increasing development has sadly caused many animals to become injured, displaced, or endangered.
Guests listened closely as she described the rescue of a pregnant female monkey trapped in a snare. Lindy carefully built trust with the frightened animal before safely guiding her into a rescue box so the snare could be removed.
She also spoke about rescuing vulnerable baby owls, orphaned mongoose pups, and many other wild animals affected by urban expansion.
Her presentation reminded everyone that ordinary people can make an extraordinary difference when they care deeply about their environment and community.
Promoting Wellness and Community Events
Another exciting highlight of the morning was the promotion of the upcoming KZN Spirit Festival.
Founder Debra Robins shared insight into the festival programme, which promises a weekend filled with uplifting wellness experiences. Guests can look forward to yoga, meditation, tai chi, soul dancing, sound therapy, and motivational sessions.
