Hirsch’s announced as a 2017 National Business Awards Finalist

Against strong competition, Hirsch’s, the largest independently owned appliance and electronics retail group in Southern Africa, has been confirmed as a finalist in the 15th annual National Business Awards, in the category Customer Focus. It will compete for the Winner’s Trophy on 16 November, at Emperors Palace.

Commenting on the achievement, CEO of Hirsch’s said, “We were extremely proud to hear the news, because this is an industry-respected external confirmation of the professionalism, dedication and teamwork of our people. Top Media and Communication, who runs these awards, has a rigorous research and criteria methodology, refined over the last two decades, to identity and accredit top business performance. Our qualification signals to our staff, customers and supplier that we are indeed on the right track for even bigger things in 2018.”

For a decade and a half, the National Business Awards, has awarded outstanding results by companies in specific focus areas: sustainability, customer focus, tech innovation, fast-growth and more. According to top media and communication marketing and events director Karla Fletcher: “Our judges were seriously impressed by the calibre of entries received this year. Divining winners from finalists will not be easy for them. Every leading business has a core priority that it pursues, whether it’s to be a sustainability leader, an innovator or an employer of choice. The marketplace should know that all of our finalists have been astutely researched and shown to be the best at what they do.

Through their recognition on the national stage, past National Business Awards finalists and winners have ignited the ambition of peers in their sector to pursue a similar high water-mark –  and Hirsch’s aims to do the same.
