Local and aspiring entrepreneurs recently got together at Hirsch’s Hyde Park for their monthly women in a business networking events. Shahista Thokan, the founder of Silver Lining Workshop Facilitation and a Transformational Coaching talked to the ladies about purpose.
“It is important to focus on individual growth while you are growing as an entrepreneur as well.” She said. Shahista based her talk on Margaret Hirsch’s life – an individual who experienced challenges and overcame them with success as the end result. “Seek the purpose in which you were created and give back to our society which is your social responsibility,” commented Shahista. She then elaborated on the social responsibility topic and how to grow in that aspect
Networkers were given the opportunity to showcase their products and introduce themselves and their businesses. This was followed by a lucky draw, networking, sharing of business cards and enjoying refreshments.
