COO of Hirsch’s Homestores, Margaret Hirsch, along with a team from Hirsch’s Strubens Valley recently visited the Home for the Aged in Soweto. They were met by the manager who took the team into the different sections of the home. The home’s conditions were far beyond the team’s expectations; clean premises, well organised and happy residents who are well looked after.
Margaret spoke to some of the ladies about the conditions and they raved about how well they are treated. “They have some needs at the home which include a stove that needs some work and a malfunctioning washing machine. We will be looking into how we can assist them in this regard,” commented Margaret.
