Recently Hirsch’s Fourways hosted their first business networking morning for 2020. The speaker for the morning was Raksha Mahabeer, co-owner of SummerTime Creatives, a company that helps entrepreneurs and established businesses to differentiate themselves and refine their marketing strategies and messaging through graphic design, brand development and marketing support services.
Raksha focused on the 7 steps to building a personal brand and why it is important; “you establish what your strengths are, build credibility & skills that give you the ability to teach others.” She said. She ended off with a quote from Jeff Bezos, founder of Amazon.com: “Personal branding is what people say about you when you leave the room.”
The networkers were given the opportunity to present themselves and their businesses in a 60-second elevator pitch. This was followed by a lucky draw, networking, sharing of business cards and enjoying refreshments.
