Margaret Hirsch, COE of the Hirsch Group and a champion of women’s empowerment, was recently invited for an interview at Platinum Gold Radio at Carnival Mall in Brakpan. Margaret has become a leading example to Businesswoman in South Africa – coming from a humble background to running the multi-million Rand Appliance and Electronic retail organisation, Hirsch’s.

Customer loyalty is what has made Hirsch’s a household name. They were recently voted as the People’s Choice in the appliance, electronics and air-conditioning retail outlets by  Daily News readers in KZN and Pretoria News readers in Tshwane. “What I love in our industry, is seeing two and sometimes three generations from the same family coming through to furnish their homes with us,” Margaret explained. “Keeping our customers happy and providing them with a unique, hands-on service has helped our business grow and we are continuously finding ways to improve on our service to them.”

“Over the years, Margaret has been recognized for the good work she has done in the business community throughout South Africa, helping aspiring entrepreneurs to reach their goals and motivating school girls from underprivileged areas to attend school on a regular basis with The Girls With Dignity project: “commented PRO Chantelle du Plessis.

Platinum Gold Radio started in 1981 as a Music & Mobile DJ service called Mobi-Disk, this small business quickly made a good name for itself by offering great service and good pricing with sustained reliability, and as such really enjoyed repeat business. By the mid 90’s Mobi-Disk regularly entertained thousands of happy people at weddings, music and dance festivals, corporate functions and private events across South Africa, Namibia, Swaziland, Botswana and Zambia, “said Steve Schwartz from Platinum Gold Radio.
