A flavoursome live cooking with the chilli chocolate chef’s
Hirsch’s Homestores recently held a fun and interactive virtual cooking event hosted online live by Margaret Hirsch with Zainab Paruk from the chilli chocolate chefs.Zainab and her sister Faatimah are Durban based and have run their popular catering business for the last 15 years and during Lockdown they are doing home-cooked meals to order.
Eyes were glued to screens while Zainab cooked up a storm in the Hirsch’s Siemens kitchen in Umhlanga – showcasing the new Philips Rose gold Airfryer with Smart Sense Technology. She prepared and air-fried a delectable spicy roasted chicken and a rich and chocolaty batch of brownies in just under an hour and commented how impressed she was with the new technology. “I’m amazed with the efficiency of this Airfryer! You just add your food, select the weight and it does the rest for you. You will find that most members of the family will be able to use it!” She said.
The next Hirsch’s cooking event will be hosted live on the 18th of August with Chef Nti who will be tantalising the audience with her Modern African cooking concepts.
