Weber Braai Festive Feast

Weber Braai Festive Feast

Hirsch’s latest Kitchen Capers virtual cooking event saw Allan Hirsch and Jackie Cameron cook up a Weber Braai Festive feast. Jackie’s students at the school assisted by whipping up and braaiing some delectable treats on the Weber braai’s. Each showcasing how efficient the outdoor cooker is.  Hirsch’s Homestore’s hosted the outdoor cooking because they wanted to show a different style of cooking for Christmas day.

Cooking The Weber Braai Festive Feast

The Weber can bake, roast, grill and so much more because of all of the though out additions in the design.

Allan grilled his favourite Chicken recipe, Barbequed Bulgarian Chicken, taken from his cook book a Taste of Hirsch’s. The book is made up of his family favourite recipes passed down through the generations. Jackie and her students cooked a stuffed turkey, chicken lollipops, bacon bites. As well as marrow bone, a baked camembert cheese and mussels. Each student showcased their skills by creating their own dish using the various features of the Weber. Because Jackie believes on a hands on practical style of learning.

The Jackie Cameron School of Food and Wine offers an intensive, national and internationally recognised chefs’ course, and Jackie’s motto “don’t ever give up” has given her students the confidence they need to work in the sometimes-stressful catering industry.

The virtually held Hirsch’s Kitchen Capers events have proven to be an extremely popular addition to the Hirsch’s events calendar with thousands of views nationwide.  Look out for our upcoming events on our social media pages to join in on the fun.
