Inverter Air-Conditioners and Smeg Dolce Stil Novo Ovens
The Inverter Air-Conditioner, Keeping Your Home Warm Or Cool Depending On The Season
I love this time of year! There’s a definite hint of the warmer weather to come. However, it can still be quite chilly in the evenings. Leading my list of Must Have’s is the Inverter Air Conditioner. We have ours set at 21 degrees in the summer and 25 in cooler weather. They work wonderfully well.
How do Inverter air conditioners work? Also, what does the Inverter actually do?
The Inverter motor is able to vary its speed as required. It speeds up quickly to get the room temperature down to your desired comfort level. It then slows down to an idle-like speed once the pre-set temperature is reached. In contrast, a non-inverter motor only runs at one speed. The result? The Inverter air conditioner uses just enough electricity to keep your room at perfect temperature all the time. Speeding up and slowing down exactly as required. In the process it can save up to 40% on your electricity usage.
My Kitchen MUST HAVE This Week Are The Gorgeous SMEG DOLCE STIL NOVA Ovens
THE SMEG DOLCE STIL NOVO range is an elegant and technically advanced collection of appliances. They come with touchscreen controls, metallic trim, cutting edge Eclipse glass and new flat ‘blade’ gas hobs. Dolce Stil Novo comprises of minimalist built-in appliances, created in collaboration with long-time design partner and award winning architect, Guido Canali. The range includes highly detailed ovens, compacts, hobs, wine coolers, coffee machines, hoods and drawers, all of which fit together for a seamless high-end appearance. When it came to naming this strikingly avant-garde collection, Smeg took influence from a 13th Century literary movement in Sicilian and Tuscan love poetry, also called Dolce Stil Novo. The name translates from the Italian as ‘Sweet New Style’. And it is certainly is that, launching Smeg into new heights of design, craftsmanship and technological innovation.
The 60 cm DOLCE STIL NOVO OVENS are pyrolytic, multifunctional and compact. When switched off, the ovens appear as elegant volumes through the reflecting and uninterrupted glass surfaces. The ovens comes in three versions: Premium – all the functional elements are recessed. Top – comes with external handle and touch controls. High – all the functional elements are visible. Common to all ovens is the refined detail of the copper or stainless steel upper and lower trim and on the handle when it is external, and the closing of the door slowed down by a Soft Close mechanism.
