At Our Table’s Instant Pot Bacon Carbonara

A plateful of At Our Table’s Instant Pot Bacon Carbonara can transport you to a Roman trattoria. Made with just a few ingredients, it’s simple to recreate at home.


  • Dash of Olive Oil
  • 1 tsp chopped garlic
  • 2 x packs of streaky bacon
  • 1 x punnet mushrooms sliced (optional)
  • 1 x 500g packet Fussila pasta
  • 500mls fresh cream
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 tsp Nutmeg


  1. Set your Instant Pot to “saute” and hot fry your bacon with a dash of olive oil.
  2. Remove bacon and add your mushrooms and garlic.
  3. Once the mushrooms are soft and cooked remove and add to bacon.
  4. Add 4 cups of stock to the pot along with the bag of pasta.
  5. Set your Instant Pot to “High Pressure” mode for 2 mins.
  6. While you are waiting for the pasta, whisk 500mls fresh cream, 3 eggs and 1 tsp nutmeg in a bowl.
  7. Once the pasta has cooked for 2 mins, do a “quick release.” Remove your lid and add the bacon and mushrooms along with the cream mixture. Stir and allow to thicken for a few minutes. Serve and top with parmesan and fresh parsley.
