Hirsch’s Fourways branch was the venue recently for business people from around the Fourways area. They had the opportunity to network in person, exchange ideas, pass on referrals.  Guest speaker and LinkedIn guru, the CEO of BoostSales, Este Pretorius also gave them a rundown on how important LinkedIn is as a business tool.

Said Pretorius:  “LinkedIn is a relationship tool– what you put is what you get out. Strategy and targeted consistency are what matters – not hours mindlessly figuring things out.

It’s a relationship platform, and  sales are a byproduct of how well you are able to create and maintain those relationships.”

She went on to say that there are 3 types of buyers and really only 3 reasons they won’t buy from you.

  • They don’t know or trust you
  • They don’t trust themselves
  • The problem isn’t big enough so they defer the decision

“LinkedIn is not just another social media platform. This is where your reputation is being built at scale. Thanks to Covid we have had to learn how to pivot exceptionally fast – I think we can all agree things are changing faster than they ever have before. If you want to be at the top of your game, you need to change with it”.
