Ramola’s easy naan recipe!

Getting together with friends and family to ‘break bread’ has long been a way to indulge in quality time and conversations with the people we love. Ramola’s easy naan recipe will yield soft, fluffy and simply delicious naans promising to be a fan favorite at the table. This recipe is quick and simple which means less time kneading dough in the kitchen and more time spent with your loved ones wiping down what was once a curry-filled plate. We are currently in the month of Ramadan and this recipe will serve as a perfect side for all your post fast dishes! #NaanForRamadan


4 x 250 grams flour

10 ml salt

1 packet instant dry yeast

10 ml Cumin seeds.

60 grams softened butter.

1 beaten egg

375 ml warm milk

20 ml sugar.


Melted butter

5 ml crushed garlic.


  1. Sift flour and salt.
  2. Place in food processor.
  3. Add yeast and cumin seeds and pulse.
  4. Add butter and pulse.
  5. Beat egg and sugar in a separate bowl.
  6. Add milk and Beat.
  7. Add this mixture to the flour and pulse until a soft dough forms.
  8. Pulse for another minute.
  9. Place in an oiled bowl cover and let it double in size.
  10. Knock back cut into desired sizes.
  11. Roll out and place on tray. Let it rest for 10 minutes.
  12. Heat an ELBA griddle and cook lightly on both sides.
  13. Brush with melted ghee and serve warm.

You can lightly half cook,  cool and refrigerate ahead of serving. When serving,  finish cooking brush with melted ghee and enjoy!
