For Mom, With Love and Roast Chicken!

As Mother’s Day approaches, it’s time to honor the incredible women in our lives with a heartfelt celebration that’s as special as they are. This year, treat Mom to a memorable Mother’s Day lunch filled with love, laughter, and delicious food. From the inviting aroma of roast chicken filling the air to the joy of sharing cherished moments around the table, every element of this celebration is sure to make Mom feel cherished and appreciated using the DNA Airfryer Oven.

This mouthwatering dish is tender, juicy, and packed with flavor, making it the perfect centerpiece for a memorable meal !


  • 1 whole chicken (about 2 to 2.5 kg)
  • 4 tablespoons butter, softened
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh thyme
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh rosemary
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 250g bacon slices
  • 250g Italian sausage
  • 250g baby potatoes, halved
  • 2 large carrots, peeled and cut into chunks
  • 2 large onions, peeled and quartered
  • Olive oil, for drizzling


  1. Preheat your DNA Airfryer Oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. In a small bowl, mix together the softened butter, minced garlic, chopped fresh parsley, thyme, rosemary, paprika, onion powder, dried oregano, salt, and pepper to create a flavorful herb butter.
  3. Carefully loosen the skin of the chicken over the breast and thighs. Rub half of the herb butter mixture under the skin, spreading it evenly.
  4. Rub the remaining herb butter mixture all over the outside of the chicken, making sure to coat it thoroughly.
  5. Stuff the cavity of the chicken with half of the quartered onions and a few sprigs of fresh herbs, if desired.
  6. Wrap the bacon slices around the chicken, covering as much of the surface as possible.
  7. Place the baby potatoes, carrots, and remaining quartered onions in a large bowl. Drizzle with olive oil and season with salt and pepper. Toss to coat the vegetables evenly.
  8. Arrange the marinated vegetables in the bottom of the DNA Airfryer Oven basket or tray, creating a bed for the chicken.
  9. Place the bacon-wrapped chicken on top of the vegetables in the air fryer basket or tray.
  10. Insert the basket or tray into the DNA Airfryer Oven and roast the chicken for approximately 90-100 minutes, or until the internal temperature of the thickest part of the chicken reaches 75°C and the skin is golden brown and crispy.
  11. If necessary, rotate the chicken halfway through the cooking time to ensure even browning.
  12. Once the chicken is cooked through and the vegetables are tender, carefully remove the basket or tray from the DNA Airfryer Oven.
  13. Let the roasted chicken rest for a few minutes before carving.
  14. Carve the meaty and flavorful roast chicken into serving pieces and serve with the roasted vegetables on the side.
